Privacy policy

Written to be read, not to be survived. If something here is unclear or looks wrong, text me and I will fix it.

The short version

  • This site sets no cookies and does not track you across the internet.
  • What you type to the assistant is sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. It is not used to train any model.
  • I keep the conversation. It is stored so I know who I have spoken to and what they need. If you give the assistant your email, the conversation is filed under it.
  • If you buy something, Stripe handles the payment. Your card details never touch my servers.
  • Do not paste patient records, client files or anything confidential into the assistant. It is a public demonstration, not a secure channel.

Who is responsible

Eric Clymer, trading as Clymer AI, Austin, Texas. Text or call (512) 983-2344 about anything on this page.

Visiting the site

No cookies are set. Page views are counted with Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and aggregate – it tells me a page was viewed, roughly from where, and on what kind of device. It does not build a profile of you and does not follow you to other sites.

My host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, for a short period, for security and debugging. That is normal for any website.

Typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. I did not choose that as a way of learning anything about you, and I am looking at serving the fonts myself to remove it.

The assistant

When you type to the assistant on this site, your message and the conversation so far are sent to Anthropic, who run the model that writes the reply. Under their API terms your input is not used to train their models.

I keep what is said. Each exchange – your message, the reply, the facts the assistant put on the board, and any of my agents it suggested – is written to my database, hosted with Supabase. It is stored against a random id for your browser tab. That is not a cookie and it does not follow you anywhere; it exists so that the turns before you tell me who you are can be joined up with the ones after.

If the assistant asks for your email and you give it, the whole conversation is filed under that address and I build up a picture of your business from it: your trade, your channels, what you said is going wrong. That is the point of it – I am one person, and I would rather read what you actually told me than make you repeat it on a call. You are never added to a mailing list, and I do not sell or share any of it.

You do not have to give an email. Without one the conversation is still stored against the browser id, and it is not attached to a person. Ask me to delete any of it and I will.

Please do not put confidential information into it. No patient records, no client files, no card numbers, no passwords. Many of the businesses I work with are dental practices, law firms and accountants, so this matters: a public chat box on a marketing site is the wrong place for anything covered by HIPAA or by privilege. Describe your situation in general terms and it will still work.

If the assistant recommends a package and you carry on to checkout, a short summary of what you told it – your trade, the channels you mentioned, a couple of sentences about your situation – travels with the payment so the intake afterwards does not ask you the same things twice. That summary is stored with Stripe against your order.

Buying something

Payments run through Stripe. When you pay, Stripe collects your name, email address, phone number, billing address, any tax ID you enter, and your card details.

Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach my servers. What I can see afterwards is the order: who bought, what they bought, contact details, and the scope summary above.

I keep records of sales because tax law requires it. Those records are kept for as long as the law requires and then disposed of.

Pages made for a specific business

If I emailed you a link to a page with your business name on it, I built that page from publicly available information and from what you or a colleague told me. Those pages are not indexed by search engines, but anyone with the link can open one. When one is opened I can see that it was, and when, and anything typed into it is kept like any other conversation here. Ask me and I will take yours down – no explanation needed.

Who your information reaches

  • Vercel – hosting, server logs, cookieless analytics.
  • Anthropic – the model behind the assistant; receives what you type to it.
  • Stripe – payments; receives your payment and contact details directly.
  • Supabase – the database holding assistant conversations and prospect profiles.
  • Google Fonts – receives your IP address when typefaces load.

That is the whole list. I do not sell your information, I do not share it for advertising, and there are no tracking pixels or ad networks on this site.

Clients, as opposed to visitors

If you hire me, I handle your business data to build and run your systems. That is covered by the terms: your records are never used to train anything, you own your data, and you can take it with you. Where your data physically lives – your building or a model provider's servers – is agreed with you before anything is built.

How long things are kept

  • Chat conversations without an email: kept against a browser id while they are useful to me, and deleted on request.
  • Chat conversations with an email: kept while there is a reasonable prospect of us working together, and deleted on request.
  • Server logs: a short retention period set by Vercel.
  • Orders and the scope summary: kept with Stripe for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
  • Emails and texts between us: kept while we are working together and for a reasonable period afterwards.

What you can ask me to do

Ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Text (512) 983-2344 and I will do it, usually the same day. I will not ask you to justify it.

Some things I cannot delete on request – a completed sale has to stay in the accounting record – and I will tell you plainly if that applies.

Children

This is a service sold to businesses. It is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes I will update the date at the top. If a change is significant and I have a way of contacting you, I will.
